I know, I know, the correct answer is "all of them" but we don't want to kill the band, let's be generously conservative and say 6.

The Kinslayer-  Not only because its a great uptemo riffy number, but it's social relevance is staggering.  It's more relevant now than it was in 2000 (and Tuomas was the first metal band to write a song about a school shooting, and it was blazing speed metal! A testament to his ingenuity)

Beauty of the Beast-  So underrated.  The lyric "all of my songs can only be composed of the greatest of pains" should be sung live by any Nightwish singer.  They've also done every other epic number with Floor so I don't see why this one can't come out.

Dead Boy's Poem-  While it's not in my personal top 20 this song was a gold standard for fans for many years.  I also liked how Emppu turned it into his own solo section during the Anette years.  If it's good enough for Annette, it's good enough for Floor.

Tutankhamen- Angels Fall First is not a bad album.  It's just a little rough around the edges. There's plenty of worthy songs to pick from it, but we've all heard Tuomas jam the lick to this during The Siren a couple times.  He did the same thing with Stargazers with Planet Hell, so I think he's itching to bring it out (I hope).  It's got a great Rainbow Rising vibe to it. And that's what made Nightwish great.  They were Ronnie-era Rainbow worship with a female singer!

10th Man Down-  AKJdnkajsdnjkasndaskdsdfdnkdasmgakfiefowaekfpowefm So fucking good!  So 80s metal (the good, Dio kind)!  Floor would be majestic on this chorus!

Passion & The Opera-  Don't act like Floor can't pull it off.  (also, THAT RIFF!)

Bonus: Pharoah Sails To Orion-    Troy could do the flute solo on his pipes.

Addendum:  It's come to my attention that not everyone is a setlist nerd like me and knows what has been played, so I'm going to list what has been here.  Also "old" counts as everything before EFMB.

Old songs already done with Floor:

Stargazers

Sleeping Sun

She Is My Sin

Wishmaster

Over The Hills & Far Away

Bless The Child

Dead To The World

Ever Dream

Dark Chest of Wonders

Wish I Had An Angel

Nemo

Planet Hell

The Siren

Romanticide

Ghost Love Score

Higher Than Hope

Poet & The Pendulum

Amaranth

7 Days To The Wolves

Sahara

Storytime

Ghost River

I Want My Tears Back

Scaretale

The Crow, The Owl and The Dove
Slow, Love Slow

Last Ride of The Day

Song of Myself

Beauty of the Beast, because it's their best 'long' song and I'm dying to hear it live someday.

Elvenpath, because it's a truly great song that deserves to be brought back into the setlist.

Whoever Brings the Night, because the heavier sound suits Floor well.

Crownless, because I don't think it's ever been played live and it's awesome (and underrated).

Nice topic!

10th Man Down - YES!!! This song will surely suit Floor's vocal prowess! Not to mention this song is powerful and should've been part of Wishmaster album - in terms of melody, Tarja's voice, songwriting and the overall sound of it.

The Kinslayer - Floor will surely nail this song!!! I'm so excited to hear her performance of this song especially during the choral parts! The stadium will surely erupt if they play it in the future!

Sacrament of Wilderness - Oceanborn is obviously my most favorite NW album, followed by Imaginaerum and CC. Surely this song will reach a new level when Floor perform this. Quite challenging though (wordy song), but I'm sure she'll do great!

Swanheart - Who knows one day Tuomas realized that this song could be a perfect fit for their future setlist? Maybe it's time for Nemo could take a rest to find Dory and add this song to the set please!

Slaying the Dreamer - SIMPLY because Floor can! That's all I want to say!

Escapist - I've mentioned a million times that I have mixed feelings (sometimes) when Floor is singing Anette era's songs. Some took a while before I get to like it while some are totally not likable at least for my taste! I never liked her performance on most songs from Anette's era but there are some really great versions like Song of Myself, Ghost River, Storytime (took me a while to really like it), Amaranth and 7DTTW (took a lot of time before liking it). The rest unmentioned didn't work for me though. Anyway, I really think that she will surely sound great with this song especially the bridge and last chorus although the song perfectly fits Anette's warm and shiny belting!

And what about Fantasmic and Pharaoh Sails to Orion? They are 2 of the most epic songs Nightwish has ever made. I'm sure Floor would nail them. They should at least bring back Fantasmic part 3 with Troy's epic tin whistle. It could be connected with the end of another song, like FWTE. Its fantasy tales' theme suits perfectly with any Imaginaerum song. :horns: The only problem I see is that most of the songs are too "mellow" to be linked with a speedy power-symphonic blast. I honestly don't see it possible, all I can do is fantasize. ^^

And in Pharaoh Floor could make both lyric and growling vocals.

I agree with those who want back Slaying the Dreamer, 10th Man Down, Escapist, Kinslayer, Elvenpath and Whoever brings the Night. Swanheart would be another major hit but only if they played the FWTE version (no cheesy flutes here please, leave Troy's limelight to Fantasmic or Come Cover Me).

With Dead Boy's Poem I have mixed feelings. This is one of the songs I'm most emotionally attached to. It has brought a lot of emotion to me and I don't know if I want to hear it sung by anyone except Tarja. Though you never know it 100% sure: Stargazers was a "typical Tarja song" and Floor performed it almost flawlessly.

There's a huge difference between what I really want to hear and what are the odds of them playing some of their old repertory, but I'll go with the first one:

1. Slaying the Dreamer

2. Dead Boy's Poem

3. Whoever Brings the Night

4. The Kinslayer

5. Meadows of Heaven (sorry Anette)

6. Kuolema Tekee Taiteilijian (sorry Tarja)

In that specific order :P

Dead to the world, alive for the journey..

Paradise poetry, with first now I'll be gone..

Love's strength standeth in love's sacrifice..

Stay by my side, until it all goes dark forever..

You are my path, my home, my star-

I once said Beauty Of The Beast should replace Ghost Love Score forever and got shouted at haha!

But yeah, that section in GLS which goes all pirate like near the end does my head in. It's "pretty" and Floor rocks live but c'mon! WE NEED MORE BEAUTY OF THE BEAST!!

Beauty Of The Beast would indeed be awesome live! :D But don't you dare to suggest that they should replace Ghost Love Score... :diablo:

Floor does an amazing job with GLS, but I wouldn't mind seeing it retired for a while and letting her try out some other songs.

I would love to hear Beauty of the Beast just to hear it back on the setlist - I don't think Nightwish have played it live since the CC world tour, am I correct? I think Tarja did a great job with it, but I think Floor could do a great job too, give her a chance to do a bit of belting at the end, as well as some soft singing at the start.

Slaying the Dreamer is perhaps an obvious choice, as mentioned above. I mean, I'd always love to hear more Century Child material live, but given Floor's performance of Romanticide, I think she could definitely do justice to this song - I'd be interested to hear her and Marco double up or trade lines in the last section, it would give something different from previous performances, and the album version.

End of All Hope - another heavier song that hasn't been performed in quite a while, and that I think Floor would do well with.

Sacrament of Wilderness - I love the original, but I also found Anette's performance of this surprisingly enjoyable, despite the very different vocal delivery. I'd like to hear Floor take this on with her contemporary vocals, rather than performing it "classical" style as she did with Stargazers. I think she could add some punch to it, and maybe the instrumentals could be reworked slightly too, to make room for Troy.

Rest Calm - It's only been played live a couple of times, I believe, and once was without a female vocalist. It would be nice to see it played at a couple of live shows.

10th Man Down - Again, I think this is a song that Floor could do very well on, as well as being a great song that hasn't been played live in a while.

Ohhh wait, why did I forget to mention Beauty of the Beast!? :o

I guess the topic starter should change the rules from 6 to 10 songs! :P

I'm actually thinking the same thing - re: retire GLS so Floor can try other songs like BOTB, or maybe replace GLS with 2 other songs from the older catalogue! That's just me, but I'd like that to happen.

I totally agree on Slaying the Dreamer and Beauty of the Beast! The Escapist would be cool as well, but my wish to hear it live is more about the song than Floor singing it actually.

Please dont take out GLS but try something else! Sacrament Of Wilderness will be ok! I'm not that fan of BOTB! I prefer 10th Man Down! Also I think Kinslayer isn't being played for non-musical reasons.Maybe they consider it inconvenient? Just wondering.....

Yes, I hadn't thought that. Unfortunately, because of the sad events recently, they would do well not to play Kinslayer for a veeeeery long time.

I would like BOTB to be included but just occassionally, not to become an habitual. They could rotate it with Poet and The Pendulum.

And 10 Man Down, I heard Floor wants to perform it in the future. Anyone can confirm this?

To be sincere, they should play all the songs that she has not sung in the band yet. But I would pick firstly:

Elvenpath - Simply because is such a great song and also very nostalgic. It has a good balance between operatic and normal vocals, perfect for Floor to sing. Not to mention that we need some material from AFF on the setlist.

Passion and the Opera - I love this song so much! And think it's one of their jewels from the power metal era. Floor would certainly nail it. Troy could also bring some experiments to this song as he did with The Siren and Sahara.

Walking in the Air - She proved with EFMB that she can sing in a very low and sweetened ethereal tone, so I guess it would sound pretty good in her voice. Every Nightwish vocalist must sing it too.

The Kinslayer - Floor needs to sing this song! It's one of those bombastic deep songs from the core of Nightwish. As a dramatic soprano, Floor would possibly perform it as perfect as Tarja, or even surpass her.

FantasMic - Epicness defines it. I would love to hear Floor's rendition of this song. Maybe also a bit of her talent playing flute? ;)

Slaying the Dreamer - Tuomas, just include in on the setlist. Really.

Cadence of Her Last Breath - I was hoping that it could be included on the EFMB tour, but so far nothing happened. Floor belting this song with full power would be heaven. Also a favourite of Marco, and of myself.

Whoever Brings the Night - I think it would suit Floor's voice so well that it could be written for her. There's even operatic vocals and growls in there.

Other songs that could be included on this list are Dead Boy's Poem, 10th Man Down, The Phantom of the Opera, Beauty of the Beast, Creek Mary's Blood, Escapist and Rest Calm.

Sahara and The Siren have already been played on this tour. I certainly support Beauty of the Beast lovers, but not now, because it's too long and we already have GLS, TGSOE and from time to time TPATP on the epic side, but on the next tour they should think about it. Kinslayer, Cadence and Slaying the Dreamer would sound awsome with Floor and, maybe I'm the only one, but I miss Astral Romance a lot. It fits into this tour.

I'd like to hear the "Dead Boy's Poem/Slaying The Dreamer" couplet with Floor's voice. Killing two brids with one stone.

Stargazers was also played with Floor at Masters of Rock. The video is included in Endless Forms Most Beautiful tour edition's DVD. :)

And I think they have played Stargazers quite often, though I'm not sure.

To be honest, I findtheir neglect of their first two albums borders on criminal, now that they have up to three guitarists, a very capable singer and Troy's pipes :P

That's especially true of the AFF acoustic pieces.

Also, all the Oceanborn songs with the neat chromatic riffing and of course Swanheart.
